Psychometrist - Assessment Specialist
Position Summary
The ANUVO Psychometrist - Assessment Specialist will have experience delivering, under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist or Psychotherapist, psychological, psycho-educational, ADHD, diagnostic, and/or behavioral assessments and services to children, youths, adolescents, and young adults, in a center setting and in the student´s home environment.
Duties and Responsibilities

Administer psychological, psycho-educational, and/or behavioral assessments and diagnostic services to

Conduct clinical interview virtual or in-person

Administer assessment, and testing in the student´s home or an ANUVO Educational Center setting

Assessment Scoring - Providing scores on assessment measures

Assessment Interpretation - Interpretation of assessment measures

Report writing - provide written comprehensive assessment reports and intervention recommendations.

Feedback session with the parent or guardian

Feedback session with the student

Submit a report to ANUVO Center Education SpecialistsExamine and assess behavior to diagnose behavioral, emotional, and cognitive disorders

Maintain accurate records

Plan intervention programs
-
Plan intervention programs and conduct program evaluations as needed

Education​
-
D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Educational/School Psychology preferred
-
Master's degree in the field of counseling, mental health, or a related social service discipline is required

Qualifications
-
Current registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, College of Psychotherapists of Ontario license with competencies in assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families
-
Experience in assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual and Developmental Disability, and Learning Disability, with thorough experience in developmental, cognitive, academic, socio-emotional, and behavioral assessment
-
Experience consulting and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
-
You must provide proof of registration with your regulatory college & malpractice insurance
-
Must have valid criminal check and vulnerable sector screening
-
Formal, supervised mental health, speech/language, occupational therapy, social work, counseling, and/or educational training specific to assessing children, or in infant and child development, and formal training in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical assessments.

A master's degree in psychology, education, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, social work, counseling, or in a field closely related to the intended use of the assessment, and formal training in the ethical administration, scoring, and interpretation of clinical assessments. or

Certification by or full active membership in a professional organization such as the Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC), the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrics and Psychotherapists (OACCPP), or other North American organizations such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), the American Counselling Association (ACA), the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME), the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), or the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (CVRP) that requires training and experience in the relevant area of assessment

Fluently Bi-Lingual (speaking, reading, and writing) in French and English is preferred
